Reading the US news report on the subject implies that the only reason for the shooting involves the car payment ordeal. For the Yakuza to do such a blatant thing in such a public place is a direct insult to any government official anywhere. Japan, I love you... but get real. Years ago perhaps the Yakuza saved you, and they might still have ties traditional times and servitude, but this is 2007. Each passing day puts more power into this group, which takes more power for Japan. Make a stand against crime, because that's all they all anymore.
