Hey Wang Long Dong..pull your head out of your ass for 5 minutes!, the title was said in irony! As we all know, the Japanese never got to fulfill their dream due to a couple of A-bombs in the butt
Anyway, the Asian nations knew it was all for Japans benefit and prosperity especialy once the rape and pillage started

If you still feel vengeful then hit back economically, make your own country stronger and take your victory by diligence not violence

How long is your Dong anyway??

have you checked out the Japanese version of Wiki about palau (<a href="http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%91%E3%83%A9%E3%82%AA" rel="nofollow">link</a>)
It looks like editing has been frozen due to infighting amongst editors. That is quite interesting. I guess it means that the Left and Right had been active writing their opinions...

Wow Azuma. Thanks for that piece of bean knowledge. Isn't that a little scary?
Sincere appologies to Wang Long Dong - no intention to offend anyone at stippy.com in fact I was hoping to bring attention to how Japan has slowly started to make up for its mistakes in the past.

I have never been to Palau but I did live in Malaysia for nearly one year. When I was there I had several reminders of the "power of the sphere". One particular time was when I was catching a taxi into KL city, and the driver was a really old guy, about 75 or mayeb even 80 years old.

Anyway, we were talking about where I worked etc etc, and when I said Japan, he just started talking in Japanese to me! I was amazed that such an old man, who already spoke English, Chinese and Malay could also speak Japanese.. so, asked the obvious question, "how long did you spend in Japan old-timer?"

He muttered "I've never spent any time in Japan, but Japan spent time in me".

His answer shocked me.. He had remembered Japanese (and it was really good!) from the days when Japan had occupied Malaysia, and forced the Japanese language down Malaysian adolescents throats at all levels of school, and in many government jobs. He explained in detail of the brutal penalties for not speaking Japanese where it was required. He was fascinating, which certainly made for a short taxi trip.

Shows I guess that when forced to do something, humans can do it. I always believe that the Japanese can't speak English (generally speaking of course) because they have never been coerced/forced to. (In much the same way that English speaking nations don't speak other languages - cause they don't need to!)

Maybe they need a little bit of their own medicine?

This title is offensive to all Chinese and Asians! The greater co-prosperity sphere suggests nothing but Japanese colonialism and it's policies of expansionist behaviour that caused suffering to all its neighbours!

Just thought that I would point out that NBK is still very active throughout the Pacific. Although overseas operations were suspended after WWII NBK began operating again at the end of 1950 and even today has a office in Palau.
